  Location and Date of meeting Hipodrom Most - Velebudice u Mostu 28.7.2009 - 2.8.2009  The town Most and its surrounding In the first half of the
last century, during the totalitarian regime, the town Most was
destroyed due to the coal mining as well as increasing industry. From
the year 1989 a lot of efforts together with financial resources were
used to rebuilt this area. For the last 18 years there were successful
actions taken for renewing many green and forest areas, town part, but
also some original buildings and industry was minimized.

well-organised event, beautiful location, rich programme, lots of fun,
high quality refresments, excellent hygienne, the best meeting of all
times. Perfect weather makes thirty percent of a success and we had
that.
 Negative
comments
Problems with noisy
groups and individuals, illegible letters in the programme, too short
description of individual points in the programme, it took two days to
catch the thief even though members of the Police were present in high
numbers. The thief was captured by the organisers and only then the
problems with thefts disappeared.

Meeting?

Owners, Supporters and Fans Meeting in an extraordinary event with no
equivalent in today’s world. Thousands of these legendary vehicles come
together each year in the middle of summer into on of the European
countries. Other continent are also represented – America, Asia, Africa
or Australia. You could find here accurately renovated veterans
observing all regulations of orthodox supporters of the authentic look
with original spare parts as well as unbelievable crazy modifications
where the fantasy of the owners does not have any limits. Even if the
technical discussions of experts are integral part of the meetings, the
common denominator is above all good humour and friendly and cool
atmosphere.

27.7. – 31.7. 2011  Welcome in France on
26th to 31st July, 2011 for the 19th World Meeting of 2 CV Friends It
will take place in Salbris, a small city of 6,000 inhabitants in
Sologne, in the heart of a region known not only for its lakes, forests
and wildlife, but also for its gastronomy and lifestyle. Close to the
center of France, Salbris is only 2hrs away from Paris by car. The
world-famous Loire Halley castles such as Chambord, Chenonceau, Blois
or Amboise, all on the UN World Heritage list, are easily reachable
from the Sologne region. For the wine lover, the famous vineyards of
the Loire Valley such as Touraine, Cheverny and Sancerre are also close
by. We will welcome you to a 60 hectare (120 acre) grassy site with a
farm and lakes. Half a mile away from the city center, the site will
have all the amenities (WC, hot showers, etc…) needed for your comfort.
The typical French city center, with all its shops and services, is
within walking distance. In 2006, on this same site, more than 2650 2
CVs and A-types gathered for the 14th National Meeting of French 2 CV
Clubs.
At the heart of the meeting, you will find many stalls selling traditional French delicacies such as wine, cheese, deli meats, bread and pastries as well as 2 CV memorabilia and spare parts and a wide selection of French gastronomy on the catering stalls. A spectacular 2 CV museum will exhibit unique and exceptional A-series models. Traditional daily activities will not be forgotten, and a large tent will host live music every night. During the weekend preceding the World Meeting, local French clubs will welcome foreign 2CVers at the main border points and suggest camping accommodation and activities. After the meeting, you will be able to participate in several scenic and gastronomical raids which will allow you to discover all France’s treasures. Spain received
21 votes. Poland 19. That is a
pity. Finland 16, this would have been
their third meeting. Poles were more interested in organising the
meeting. They did more for it and made more noise. Spaniards did not
even come to the podium. We hope that Poles will win their meeting in
France.
